Can Holloway stop Aldo once again?

Former Featherweight world champion José Aldo 'Jr.' will get an opportunity to avenge his loss to Hawaii's Max Holloway at UFC 218 in Detroit, after the UFC confirmed the Brazilian would replace original contender Frankie Edgar in the main event, as he rematches Holloway. After it was announced earlier in the week that 'The Answer' had sustained a facial injury and would no longer be competing at UFC 218, a slew of Featherweight challengers threw their hat into the ring in search of a title shot with Holloway. Cub Swanson, Brian Ortega and Ricardo Lamas were all favourites, but it was the latter Lamas, who was in fact left opponent-less himself, as UFC Fight Night Winnipeg opponent Aldo was confirmed as Edgar's replacement.

The Manaus fan favourite is currently 1-2 in his last 3 octagon walks, losing in championship record time against Conor McGregor, after a 13 second knockout, before bouncing back at UFC 200 in an impressive rematch with the aforementioned Edgar to claim the Interim crown. Headlining UFC 212 against then Interim king Max 'Blessed' Holloway, the 26-3 Aldo was stopped comprehensively in the third round via strikes from the Hawaiian. Many have argued whether or not Aldo actually deserves his warranted rematch with Holloway, but with an undefeated championship reign of 6 years before his initial defeat to 'The Notorious' one, is quite difficult in my opinion to deny the 31 year-old possibly one last try at his former throne.
