Kamaru Usman vs. Emil Weber Meek: What will go down:

Can Kamaru keep his UFC record crystal clean?
A long awaited Welterweight meeting between rising prospects Kamaru 'The Nigerian Nightmare' Usman and Norwegian striker Emil Weber Meek finally takes place this weekend in the main card opener of UFC Fight Night St. Louis. Both men were scheduled to clash at the final event of the year back at UFC 219 until visa issues prevented Meek from competing. Usman most recently earned a savage stoppage win over Brazil's Sérgio Moraes, while Meek made his octagon bow against Jordan Mein at UFC 206, after a career highlight victory over the controversial leg lock specialist Rousimar Palhares in the Venator FC promotion.

Regarded by many as the most exciting and dangerous prospect at Welterweight today, The Ultimate Fighter victor Usman holds a polished record in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, currently occupying the #10 rank in the talent rich 170lbs division. With eye catching triumphs over the tricky Warlley Alves and Sean Strickland, the NCAA Division II wrestler has really continued his good run of form and is touted by many in the MMA community, as a possible title challenger in the near future. With his explosive and hugely athletic frame, Usman's most dangerous aspect of his stand up is his hands, a direct correlation of said frame and physique.

Earning his current stint in the UFC off the back of a first round knockout over former promotion bad-boy Rousimar Palhares, Emil Meek is a deadly striker with what some would argue, crisper technique than the younger Usman. With 7 separate knockout wins sparring a now 7 year career, Norway's 'Valhalla' can realistically crack the top 15 of the stacked 170lbs division with an impressive display against Benin City star Usman.

Kamaru Usman via unanimous decision.
