Dana White confirms Floyd Mayweather UFC talks:

Mayweather would surely be outmatched by the majority of the UFC roster.
UFC President Dana White recently addressed the rumours of a Floyd Mayweather leap into the world of MMA, and has shockingly confirmed that the UFC and the retired boxer have begun talks on a potential deal which will see the 40 year old step into the octagon. Mayweather of course sealed his 40th career win and his undefeated record in August, stopping current UFC Lightweight champion and polarising figure Conor McGregor in the 10th round of their boxing bout.

Speaking with ESPN's Brett Okamoto, the head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship spoke of a potential Mayweather deal being brokered. 'We're talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal. It's real. He was talking about boxing Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren't real? He usually tips his hand when he's in the media and then that shit ends up happening. We're interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a realistic possibility. Mayweather vs. McGregor fucking happened. Anything is possible.'

This surprising claim follows the comments of UFC colour commentator Joe Rogan, Speaking on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast alongside Eddie Bravo, the 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu black belt shed some light on the situation. 'Floyd talked about it, apparently. This is one thing I'll tell you. Dana told me that Floyd wants to make a deal in the UFC. Like legitimately. So I texted him 'Is Floyd really talking about fighting MMA? And he goes 'Yeah he's fucking crazy, I told him he'd get killed but he's still talking about doing it'.

These incredible rumours stem from 'Money' Mayweather's recent comments in which he claimed that he had been offered a 'three or four fight deal in the octagon to make a billion dollars.' Potential opponents for a possibly debuting Mayweather have already surfaced on social media, with a meeting with former professional wrestler CM Punk slated, while current UFC pound-pound #1 and Flyweight destroyer Demetrious Johnson took to Twitter posting: @floydmayweather I'll move up 20 pounds to welcome you proper. Another name thrown around is of course Conor McGregor, with many claiming a rematch between 'The Notorious' one and 'Money' would prove appealing enough to see McGregor return to the octagon for the first time since his November 2016 demolition of Eddie Alvarez.
